About MYO

Meet Garima Arora

Garima is an educator, arts facilitator, and founder of MYO Centre in Jaipur. With a Masters degree in Visual Arts and four years of experience as a Waldorf educator, she has deep expertise in nurturing child development through creative play and learning. Her additional training in arts-based therapy enriches how she supports families and children's holistic growth.

Our Philosophy

At MYO, we believe children learn best through creative play, meaningful connection, and a safe, nurturing environment. Waldorf education focuses on imagination, creativity, and whole-child development rather than early academics. Garima's training in arts-based therapy deepens this approach, giving her tools to support children's emotional well-being alongside their learning. She creates spaces where children can explore, express themselves, and develop confidence through mindfulness practices, creative expression using art and music, and an understanding of each child's unique needs—whether they're thriving toddlers or children who need extra support. Her research and work with children have shown how creative expression helps with development, confidence, and emotional regulation.

Her Approach

Garima weaves together a range of mediums and traditions in her work — drawing on the arts, philosophy, and contemplative practice to create experiences that meet each person where they are.

Multi-Modal Healing

An integrative approach that combines visual art, music, movement, mindfulness, and somatic practice. Rather than relying on a single modality, sessions are tailored to what each individual or group responds to most deeply.

Music

Sound and rhythm as pathways to emotional expression and regulation. Music supports nervous-system regulation, creative release, and connection in both individual and group settings.

Visual Arts

Drawing, painting, and making as forms of inquiry and integration. Visual art offers a non-verbal language for processing experience and discovering new perspectives.

Kabir's Mysticism

The poetry and philosophy of Kabir as a foundation for inner reflection. Kabir's teachings on unity, presence, and the inward path inform the contemplative texture of her work.

Buddhist Philosophy

Mindfulness, compassion, and awareness practices rooted in Buddhist teaching. These offer practical tools for working with difficulty, cultivating presence, and resting in awareness.
